About IN2 Church

IN2 History

IN2 Crosswalk’s heritage is intimately connected with that of IN2 Church (New York) and Onnuri Church (Seoul, Korea). While serving as International Ministry Director at Onnuri, with the shared vision and blessing of Senior Pastor Yong J. Ha, Pastor Marc Choi felt the weighty call of planting a church in the heart of New York City; And so, in November 2005, IN2 Church was born. The Lord has added to the church week by week, particularly through Korean speaking students and young professionals.
Since 2006, Crosswalk evolved with the vision of training disciples from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
The name IN2 is derived from the Great Commission to:
“Come IN2 me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28) and then…“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)
The name Crosswalk draws inspiration from Luke 9:23
Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

Crosswalk Vision

CELEBRATE
In one word, this objective is worship. Worship is an essential part of our membership. Remember, membership means that we are part of God’s household. The Father is looking for worshipers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. Our life as a Christian comes before any other formal membership. A formality simply organizes us to facilitate one thing: worship.
Worship is an end in itself. We do not worship as a means to something else. The goal of missions is to worship God’s worth as Savior of the nations. The goal of preaching is to worship God’s character and good deeds.

CONNECT
Belonging to a body of Christ, accountability and a true community are ways to describe individuals coming together on a regular basis in order to become like Christ. This is a commitment to bring others into our community. It is also a way to become a bridge for others. It is a constant reminder of Christ’s Great Commission to make disciples of all nations.
This is a commitment to Christ and his body -- the church. Each member belongs to all the others as individual parts of his body. There is a community that establishes unity within diversity.

CONTRIBUTE
Ministries, outreach, serving and tithing are also several ways to describe the contributions of a church member. Remember, members are not attendees anymore. Membership comes with commitments along with benefits. God did not call us to be idle.
This is also a commitment to train leaders to inspire and encourage leadership in others. Contributing is not a one-time deal. Following the example of Christ, training leaders who will reproduce leadership in others is how Jesus spread the message of the gospel.
